We are currently developing the American Poker newsletter which will highlight the progress of the APA, tournament schedules & results, featured players, benefits & poker news and player tips. Look for the first issue in the coming months. We know you will be as excited about this benefit as we are.

Dealer Certification

We will begin testing dealers for certification in October of of 2006. Dealers who receive an APA certification will have proven experience & knowledge of all popular poker games, table etiquette, TDA rules, communication skills and dealing techniques. In Early 2007 we will begin offering education for dealers wishing to achieve certification. A Certified APA Dealer will bring proven value to the table and enhance the profitability and enjoyment of the game. We can't wait!

Health Insurance:

The association would seek health insurance coverage for its members and negotiate group rates similar to employer plans, single/family etc. This would make health insurance available and much more affordable. This health insurance savings alone would more than cover the dues for joining the American Poker Association.

Other services:

The association would find and approve an investment advisory firm, a legal and tax advisory firm, negotiate discounts on cars, hotels, etc. The American Poker Association will maintain a web site with “up-to-date” info on our events, participants, general information, and articles, etc. In addition the American Poker Association will solicit sponsors/advertisers for individual members, and provide competent agent services. And the American Poker Association will act as a contact center for individuals/companies/sponsors wishing to contact members while allowing the member to maintain their privacy.
